Built on the real thing

#01

Real yt-dlp, bundled

SNAG ships the genuine yt-dlp inside the APK, not a reimplementation. Every site yt-dlp supports works here.

#02

Real FFmpeg, on-device

HD stream merging and MP3 extraction run locally through bundled FFmpeg. Nothing is uploaded anywhere.

#03

Nothing leaves the phone

No account and no server. The download happens on your device and the file never leaves it.

#04

Share and go

Share a link to SNAG directly from YouTube, TikTok or X and the download starts on its own.

#05

Pick your quality

Paste a link and choose the format, from full HD video down to audio-only MP3.

#06

Keep SNAG on screen while it downloads

Android cuts network for backgrounded apps, so SNAG holds your screen awake and finishes the job in the foreground.

Install in three steps

SNAG is not on Google Play: YouTube developer policy and Play rules bar yt-dlp style apps, so every one of them is distributed as a plain APK. That is the only reason the download is a file and not a store link.

Get the APK

1

Download the APK

Open the download on your phone. It comes straight from this project.

2

Allow installs

Android will ask to allow installs from this source once. Allow it and continue.

3

Install and use

Open SNAG, paste any link, and choose the quality. Done.

Check it is the real build

If you want to confirm the APK you downloaded is genuine, check its hash and the certificate it was signed with. Both should match exactly.

Needs Android 7.0 (API 24) or later, arm64-v8a only. That covers essentially every phone sold in the last decade, but not 32-bit devices, emulators or ChromeOS.
